Hello! Happy February! Seems like it's been uneventful around here as Kris and I have been mainly just....working. Blah, boring. But....it's really been kind of nuts.
Nathan giving Ryan a hug...they like doing this...so cute!!
Ryan playing with his new drum! Of course he needs his hat too!
Ahh yes... building blocks are great. They are dual purpose--building block and stepping stool...
The boys are at the age of where we need, "eyes on the back of our heads." They are busy into everything--emptying kitchen drawers, coloring on the floor, climbing on chairs and turning on/off lights, even climbing up on the kitchen table and entertainment center. This weekend has been rough for Nathan, as he not only got a busted lip climbing and falling on the tv stand, but then pulled a hangin wooden name board on his head which resulted in a nice cut on his forehead. So, I guess he is choosing to learn the hard way with things he shouldn't be doing. It is a constant--where is Nathan? where is Ryan? conversation as we attempt to get some things done around the house (like supper) or the (laundry). I've found the best way to handle them is to keep them engaged or extremely busy. Which, doesn't leave a lot of free time for me when I'm home, but that's ok. I think I have a system down....
As promised in the last posting, I will share what Kris is up to. He will be leaving his Sales job at Lyco Manufacturing to.....drum roll please.... to RecoverCare as the District Operations Manager! Congratulations, Kris! He will be managing several warehouses that supply durable medical equipment, balancing a budget, and act as manager! It will be great experience for the application of his Master's degree in Project Management. So, lots of changes for this household, but all positive and goal directed for career advancement.
We have a couple of things "in the hopper" so to say, with the next blog. More changes to come! So, I will save some of the excitement for later!
But, until then...things are pretty status quo here. Which, I think is pretty good!
Lastly, before I close... I would really appreciate some feedback on this blog. I know people are reading this as my number counter is well over 350 or some views. So, please please leave a comment and let me know if you enjoy the blog, have any recommendations, or just want to say hello. I write this blog as I enjoy it and it also keeps a real time summary of our life that I will be able to save and print into a book. But, I do want to make sure I'm reaching out to family and friends and that you are enjoying these posts! :) So, thanks for being a part of our lives and keep on reading!!
